A Van is a closed box design vehicle used for transporting goods or people and can have single or multiple rows of seating. The large cargo area of a Van can be easily accessed through a variety of door styles from single, double, hatchback or lift, to large side panel sliding doors. The engine of most vans shares space with the engine bay and cabin protruding between the front-row seating and covered to create a console. Van drive-train configurations are produced in front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, four-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models with most front-wheel drive models being Minivans. Popularity of the smaller Minivan grew as a family vehicle due to the easily usable cargo space, adjustable/removable third-row seating, fuel economy, car like driving comfort and many creature comforts for up to nine passengers and cargo. Most import and domestic auto manufacturers in the US produced both full-size and minivan models. Popular Minivan models include the Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey and Chrysler Voyager.
