Why are user profiles required?

Access to list a vehicle for sale through the "Sell my car" service is not granted to any user or member until first creating a registered user account and user profile. Your user profile is required and aids in an attempt to show perspective buyers and sellers that you as a user of the Carfieds service are not misrepresenting yourself. User profiles and vehicle listings have rating and review capabilities for members and automotive service members to report good experiences, misleading information, and potential fraudulent activity. Something yet to be seen on this type of platform.

A users member profile requires, Nickname, City, State, and Zip code of the user account owner. Other user information fields within the user member profile are optional. Some optional information may or may not be offered as a paid upgrade, such as social media, additional photos and features. If you do not want optional profile information to be viewed by other users do not enter optional information in the profile listing form.

Your privacy is important to us. Only registered, logged in users can view regular Member Profiles. Contact information such as email and phone number are not visible. Carfieds does not collect profile information for any other purpose then to be used on the Carfieds website, we do not sell your information.

Automotive Services business profiles are used as a business directory listing visible to all Carfieds visitors. All Automotive Service business profiles contact information is visible by all visitors.
